Block sought on illegal immigrant ordinance
Watch this story very closely folks, because if the so-called “Latino groups” get their way and get some liberal judge to overrule this lawful election; that means the majority no longer rules and your vote don’t mean shit! When the Farmers Branch city council first adopted the ordinance, the “Latino” groups and the un-American ACLU demanded that the whole affair be taken to the people for a vote. Well, they had an election and two-thirds of the citizens voted “for” the new law. The people had spoken, right? Wrong! Like the cry babies they are when they don’t get their way, they now turn to a judge to decide. Evidently what the people say doesn’t mean a thing these days!
DALLAS (AP) — Latino activists and civil liberties advocates asked a federal judge yesterday to block a voter-approved ordinance that prohibits landlords from renting apartments to most illegal immigrants in the Dallas suburb of Farmers Branch.
The Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund and the American Civil Liberties Union, which have sued the city, requested the temporary restraining order in US District Court.
