Russian Professor Predicts Fall of U.S. in 2010 - are you listening, Obama?

Tuesday, December 30th, 2008

I guess the folks in Russia don’t feel like they have anything to fear from Obama. (See article below).

MOSCOW —  For a decade, Russian academic Igor Panarin has been predicting the U.S. will fall apart in 2010. Now he’s found an eager audience: Russian state media, who are interviewing him twice a day.

A polite and cheerful man with a buzz cut, Professor Panarin insists he does not dislike Americans. But he warns that the outlook for them is dire.

“There’s a 55-45 percent chance right now that disintegration will occur,” says Panarin. “One could rejoice in that process,” he adds, poker-faced. “But if we’re talking reasonably, it’s not the best scenario — for Russia.”

Prof. Panarin, 50 years old, is not a fringe figure. A former KGB analyst, he is dean of …

Members of Congress Due to Award Themselves $4,700 Raise in 2009

Friday, December 26th, 2008

I‘m going to ruin a nice Christmas Day if I start commenting on this article, and it isn’t good for the old blood pressure. So I’ll just say, read and remember this crap come next Election Day!  (See article below).

WASHINGTON, Dec 17, 2008 - Members of Congress are slated to receive a $4,700 pay raise beginning in January, increasing their annual salaries to $174,000. The increase for 535 House and Senate members would cost taxpayers more than $2.5 million.

That salary alone, which excludes all other outside income and spousal wages, ranks each lawmaker in the top six percent of American households.
Congress automatically gets a pay raise each year, and has to introduce legislation to prevent the increase. Although legislation to halt the …

Bush pardons man for hiring illegal aliens but leaves brave lawmen Ramos and Compean to rot in the pen!

Friday, December 26th, 2008

The man that I voted for, on at least three occasions, will go down in history as the sorriest president ever! Just recently, he pardoned a man who was convicted of hiring illegal aliens, in other words, he condones the practice of breaking the law - but yet two American lawmen are serving up to 13 years in the pen for simply doing their job. These American heroes are Border Patrolmen Jose Compean and Ignacio Ramos. And what was their crime? They shot a scum-bag drug dealer in the ass! I hope the American people will never forget this injustice - make calls, write letters, and refuse to do anything that will support George W. Bush! (See article below).

AUSTIN — A South Texas rancher got a good-news phone call Tuesday about a presidential pardon that wipes away a felony conviction for hiring undocumented workers to harvest his watermelons 16 years ago.

“I really don’t know why or anything,” said John Allen Aregood, of Riviera, a ranching town about 11 miles south of Kingsville. “It’s just a good Christmas present.”

He was one of 19 people granted pardons Tuesday by President George W. Bush.

The only Texan on the list, Aregood paid a modest fine and served two years of probation after his conviction for …

Palin church burning - ‘hate crime’ virtually ignored?

Friday, December 19th, 2008

We should all be curious as to why the so-called main stream media hasn’t jumped on this story. Is it possible that, because she happens to be white, anything goes when it comes to ridiculing Sarah Palin (pictured below)? If this arson had happened at a black church, the media hypocrites would have been all over it. Sickening, reverse discrimination! (See article below).

Onenewsnow.com - A religion columnist and journalism professor says the mainstream media’s coverage of the fire that gutted Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s home church has been thin, but it’s hard to say exactly why it’s been underplayed.

Investigators say the fire that destroyed Wasilla Bible Church in Alaska on December 12 was likely the work of an arsonist, but the mainstream news media, with the exception of The Associated Press, has largely ignored the story.

Terry Mattingly is the editor of the website GetReligion.org, a Scripps Howard columnist, and director of the Washington Journalism Center. He says because the fire occurred in a remote area, major networks may not want to fly reporters in from Los Angeles, Washington, or New York. Mattingly believes a regional bias could be at play, but adds that he Terry Mattinglyhas no doubt that if a fire occurred at the church of a socially accepted victim group, the coverage would have …

Pay raise for judges tucked into bailout plan courtesy of ‘Dingy Harry’ Reid

Sunday, December 14th, 2008

It seems that every time a bill is brought before Congress, corrupt politicians (i.e. Harry Reid, pictured here) take the opportunity to add a little something to it. Reid knows that Americans are worried about the astronomical loss of jobs in this country and many citizens will probably agree that automakers should be bailed out. So what do politicians do? Why vote themselves and Federal judges a neat little raise! Lawmakers and district judges currently make $169,300 per year. Lawmakers will get an automatic $5,000 raise and Reed wants to see that his buddies on the bench also receive the raise, which is conveniently attached to the bailout bill. With politicians like “Dingy Harry” Reed running this country, it’s no wonder we are being flushed down the toilet! (See article below).

(AP) - If the $14 billion bailout plan for U.S. automakers passes, it will help more than just Ford, Chrysler and General Motors. Federal judges would get a pay raise, as well.

The raise - an annual cost of living adjustment, or COLA - would bring U.S. District court judges up to par with members of Congress, who will receive an almost $5,000 boost on Jan. 1. District judges and lawmakers now earn $169,300 a year but are expected to be awarded a 2.8 percent raise next year, said Dick Carelli, a spokesman for …

Study: Illegal aliens’ care costs Texas $677 million

Sunday, December 14th, 2008

Here in Texas, many of our elderly have a hard time surviving on a ridiculous amount of income; but yet our elected officials allow this state to spend over $600 million on people who are in this country illegally, that’s right, they are criminals. How did we get in such a situation? I’ll tell you how; corrupt politicians have allowed racist organizations like La Raza, LULAC, and the ACLU to take control of this country. It’s way past time for this bullshit to cease.  (See article below).

AUSTIN (Houston Chronicle)The state of Texas and local hospital districts spent an estimated $677 million to provide health care to illegal immigrants in a year, a new study says.

The survey, issued by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, said that most of the money — $597 million — was spent by local hospital districts for the immigrants’ care during the state’s fiscal year that ended on Aug. 31, 2006.

Lawmakers from both parties said they were not surprised by the millions spent and expressed hope that the report, required by the 2007 Legislature, will help prompt Congress to …

U.S. Cities Brace for Mumbai-Style Attack - and yet, our borders remain open

Friday, December 12th, 2008

We’ve been warned over and over again, but yet our borders remain open. People on this side of the Rio Grande have found articles of clothing, including military insignias of Islamic designs - they have found copies of the Koran - but yet our government ignores them. Is it going to take a catastrophic event to close the border and put troops there to guard them? Outrageous!  (See article below).

Newsmax.com - U.S. cities are racing to fix security vulnerabilities revealed by the devastating terror attacks in Mumbai, and many hotels remain “sitting ducks,” experts tell Newsmax.

Security personnel around the country are intensively reviewing what happened to Mumbai to learn more about terrorists’ shifting tactics, according to Fred Burton, vice president of counter-terrorism at Stratfor, a private intelligence firm located in Austin, Texas.

“The study has already begun,” Burton tells Newsmax. “I’m seeing that from a lot of our channels, and I am answering a lot of questions myself in that regard.”

Police are addressing Mumbai-like scenarios where teams of terrorists fan out and use small arms and …

Colin Powell Lashes Out at Rush Limbaugh - This from a man who decides his vote based strictly on “race”

Friday, December 12th, 2008

There was a time when I would have considered voting for Colin Powell (pictured below); if he had ran for president. But I have lost all respect for the man - now, he is attacking Rush Limbaugh because he can’t stand the truth. And Powell will never convince me that he is a great Republican and race had nothing to do with him voting for Obama; bullshit! His points in this article are aimed at Anglo-Americans - he says we might as well get used to the changes because in 20 years, we’ll be the minority. Well, I’ve got news for Mr. Powell; there are already more illegal aliens in this country than there are African-Americans, so he better start kissing up to them, and throw Obama under the bus like he did his own party!  (See article below).

Newsmax.com - Former Secretary of State Colin Powell blames Rush Limbaugh and conservative talk radio for Republican electoral woes in a CNN interview to be broadcast this weekend.

“Can we continue to listen to Rush Limbaugh?” Powell said, according to a transcript of the interview on the “Fareed Zakaria GPS” show CNN released.

“Is this really the kind of party that we want to be when these kinds of spokespersons seem to appeal to our lesser instincts rather than our better instincts?” Powell said.

Powell told Zakaria that he still considers himself a Republican but said his party should quit listening to Limbaugh for advice. Instead, it needs to look more to minority groups if it wants to win elections in the 21st century.

The week before the presidential election, Powell crossed party lines to endorse Barack Obama during an …

Illegal immigration foe Rep. Tom Tancredo retires

Thursday, December 11th, 2008

Someday, history will reveal that Tom Tancredo, pictured below, was right to fight against illegal immigration - as all patriotic Americans should be doing. The harm coming to this country via open borders is astronomical and I fear that a catastrophic event, perpetrated by Islamic terrorists, is in our future(See article below).

Townhall.com - When Tom Tancredo, the lightning-rod Colorado conservative, went to Congress a decade ago, he promised he wouldn’t disappear in Washington. He sure didn’t.

Tancredo made headlines clashing with Democrats and his fellow Republicans. He could be hard to figure even by his allies. The grandson of Italian immigrants, Tancredo founded the Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus and achieved national recognition with aggressive, biting rhetoric against what he called out-of-control immigration and bilingual education.

At home, Tancredo lived six doors down from Columbine High School, but he resisted calls for stronger gun control after the nation’s deadliest high school shooting in 1999. He was born Catholic, but converted to the Evangelical Presbyterian Church and blasted Pope Benedict XVI for defending immigrants during a papal visit to Washington.

Tancredo was called racist for presidential campaign ads that suggested Latino immigrants are rapists and …

The High Cost of Favoritism - and O.J. Simson

Thursday, December 11th, 2008

Thomas Sowell, pictured below, is one of my favorite columnists and he certainly hits the nail on the head in this piece about celebrity elitism(See article below).

Townhall.com - O.J. Simpson has attracted less attention by being declared “guilty” in Nevada than he did by being declared “not guilty” in California. Yet his story is more than the tragedy of one man.

O.J. is not the first star athlete– or movie star, political leader or pacesetter in some other fields– to fall from the heights to the depths. Often they are people who have taken enormous risks that were completely unnecessary and with little pay-off.

Think about it: What did Richard Nixon have to gain by setting up the kinds of illegal operations that finally cost him the presidency– and could have landed him in prison, without …
